Why English Cream?

English Cream Golden Retrievers. Is there a difference between them and America's favorite fun-loving golden? The answer? Well... yes and no.

English Cream Golden Retrievers are obviously a member of the Golden Retriever family, and as such posses all of the same attributes that pet owners love: friendly, trustworthy, easily trained, patient, gentle with children, confident and charming. However, as implied by the name, they are more of a creamed color with hints of gold. Appearances also differ in more of a block-shaped face and body.

Aside from aesthetics, health is also a key component as to why pet-owners prefer English Cream Retrievers over American Golden. A health study in 1998 conducted by the Golden Retriever Club of America states that cancer is the cause of death in 61.8% of American Golden Retrievers (Glickman, Larry, et al. "The Golden Retriever Club of America National Health Survey".Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine, 1998.)  However, in English Cream Golden Retrievers, the percentage is a mere 38.8% (British Kennel Club Scientific Committee. "Summary Results of Purebred Dog Health Survey for Golden Retrievers".)

The latter of the studies states that purebred English Cream Golden's live an average of 2 years more than the typical purebred American Golden, and have roughly half of the health problems due to their excellent breeding. The money initially saved in buying an American Golden retriever is insignificant in comparison to the veterinary expenses to be saved from purchasing an English Cream.

February 2015 Litter- What Cuties!!

We have an adorable litter of puppies born on February 3rd that will be ready for new homes March 31st- just in time for Easter! Out of the nine gorgeous pups, we have six males and one female left. The father, Buster is from Spanish and Russian decent, and is one of the most beautiful sires you will ever see. He is loyal, and while he is perfect at protecting his family, he also is gentle and mellow. The mother, Lulu, is also from Spanish decent, and is the most mild-mannered sweetheart you will ever meet. The puppies themselves are adorable (as always!), and are anticipating loving new families. We are asking $1500 for the males, and $1800 for the female. We are welcoming people to come meet the dam and sire, and fall in love with these little darlings. Contact Tammy via call or text at 253-508-0367, or via email at ptrussellfamily@gmail.com. Cheers!

We are pleased to announce that we recently bred our beautiful Devon, with this handsome champion, Sampson. Isn't he quite the looker? With these genetics, the puppies are bound to be darling (who are we kidding, ALL English Creams are darling!). The puppies will be born in the middle of August and be ready for homes in October. Let me know soon if you would like your name placed on the waiting list, as these puppies will go quickly. As always, thank you for your continued support.

The last few of the bunch

Thank you all for your interest and support!! It's wonderful and so encouraging to know that there are so many good homes for our precious puppies.

We have 3 little girls that still are looking for homes!! Aren't they beautiful? They all have distinct and sweet personalities, and are the most adorable things ever. We love watching them chase the leaves around the yard, and rough-house with each other.

The girls are all caught up on their shots, and ready for a new family as soon as possible. We're asking $1800 for these champion-lined beauties. As always, please feel free to contact me with any inquiries, or to set up a time to come and meet the puppies! We look forward to hearing from you!!

Puppies Perfect for the Holidays!!

I have posted the pictures of the expecting parents of our new litters!! We can't wait to meet the new arrivals soon.

A few of the darling pups from Sinda's last litter
Sinda is bred to the impressive Hamish (both seen below), and she is due September 22nd. As you can see, she is a stunning beauty. Imported from Russia, she comes from champion lines and has certified hips and elbows, as does Hamish. Not only are her genetics impressive, but she is such a sweetheart. She is a well-tempered, very obedient dog, and does phenomenal with children--including babies and toddlers. She is a fantastic mother, and we can't wait to meet her puppies in a few weeks.

Tarsus

We are also thrilled to announce a very impressive batch of puppies who will be born to Novia a week before Sinda's pups. The sire of this litter is Tarsus--a champion English Cream who is imported from Spain. He has an impressive pedigree of a long line of champions, and as you can see from his pictures, is an exquisite looking male. But let's not forget about Novia's impressive lineage!! Novia is daughter of the champion Sterling, also from Spain. They both are beautiful and certified, and we can't wait to see the impressive pups to come. Novia is also such a sweet, well-tempered dog (as is to be expected from all Golden Retrievers!), and we know she will be a phenomenal mother, as she has in the past.

Novia

Both litters of puppies will be ready to go home to their loving new families around the middle of November, with all of their shots and appointments up to date. We welcome anyone who would like to meet them earlier to make an appointment to watch their darling personalities evolve.

We will be keeping this blog as current and up to date as possible, with new pictures and information as they come. As always, please feel free to contact me, Tammy, at (253)-508-0367, or via email at ptrussellfamily@yahoo.com.  We look forward to meeting our new arrivals and their new owners.

Warm regards,
